Two exclusive New York workshops at The Culinary Loft December 13th and 14th, 2009.
Paule Caillat, owner of the cooking school Promenades Gourmandes in Paris, has been a close friend for many years. We have shared innumerable meals, cooking tips and stories about our culinary adventures. This year we have decided to unite our complementary styles to teach two cooking classes at The Culinary Loft in New York’s historic SoHo district. The classes will take place on Sunday, December 13th from 11.30am-2pm and Monday, December 14th from 6.30-9pm, giving you an opportunity to learn new recipes and cooking skills before the holidays!
In these workshops, Paule and I will be exploring Christmas traditions in Paris and Provence using top-quality French olive oils, truffles and sea salt. Paule will be preparing sumptuous dishes with foie gras, free-range poultry and truffles, while my cooking will illustrate the sunny Provencal approach to Christmas with Mediterranean monkfish and intensely flavored vegetable dishes. Potent black truffles will make their way into savory madeleines, and delicate olive oils will add a surprising twist to two classic French desserts.
