Something about the cooler temperatures makes me wanna go all vintagy. Perhaps, it was the gorgeous brown leather flap handbag a friend of mine was sporting at dinner the other day that used to be her Mom's. Or maybe it was her luxe brown vintage coat to match. Don't know. Just got me itching to find a posh girl vintage look to die for. That's where South African designer Abigail Betz comes in.
Abigail Betz is one of a bevy of up-and-coming South African designers, beginning to make her mark on the global fashion scene. Her signature look consists of vintage-inspired, lady-like dresses with incredible detailing.
Her only retail store is in Johannesburg at the Rosebank mall. So if you're heading to the World Cup in June and need a little retail therapy be sure to check out the shop. Also, you can be a fan on her Facebook page - Abigail Betz Couture.

Abigail Betz Couture is not included in the line up of top SA designers in the 2012 SA fashion week project. Is she no longer at the top? Or is it just simply that she didn’t take the calls from the organisers of the SAFW as she doesn’t take calls from her brides in despair? To all the beautiful girls who are in love and engaged and considering a designer for their dream wedding dress, strike Abigail off your list. My wedding was almost a disaster due to Abigail’s unethical and unprofessional conduct. Abigail Betz has been coined as SA’s answer to Vera Wang. This must be the ultimate insult to the iconic and highly respected Vera Wang.
