Okay, sometimes there are certain destinations that ooze perfect beach paradise. And the Maldives are one such destination. Southwest of Sri Lanka, on the equator, the Maldives consist of 1190 coral islands, 202 of which are inhabited and 87 of which are exclusive resorts. The islands have been nominated for the New 7 Wonders of Nature. There's nothing much to do there other than soak up the sun, sit on the beach and watch the world go by. It's a beach destination to check out if you are in and around Southeast Asia.
The gorgeous Conrad is set on two private islands and the main attraction for me is the world's first all-glass, undersea restaurant. Love the concept! Barefoot luxury at its best. Sigh!
